Redefining the Patient Experience in Connecticut
The current mental health landscape is often characterized by long wait times, impersonal “medication management” appointments, and a lack of access to cutting-edge technology. Our practice at 157 Church St, Fl 19, New Haven, CT 06510 was founded to change that narrative. We believe that a “friendly” practice is one where clinical excellence meets genuine human connection where patients are treated as partners in their own healing journey.
Meet the Visionary Team
Our practice is anchored by two of New Haven’s leading psychiatric specialists, both dedicated to the intersection of biological science and empathetic care:
Omolola Aragbada, DNP, PMHNP
Dr. Aragbada is a doctoral-prepared clinical leader and healthcare entrepreneur who has dedicated her career to bringing interventional psychiatry out of academic research labs and into the community. Her expertise lies in treatment-resistant conditions, healthcare innovation, and the implementation of advanced clinical protocols that go beyond the standard “pill for every ill” approach.
Sharon Nkashama, PMHNP
A board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, Sharon is known across Connecticut for her meticulous clinical evaluations and her empathetic approach to patient care. She ensures that every patient feels heard and that their treatment plan is as unique as their life story.
A Comprehensive Suite of Interventional Care
At our New Haven facility, we don’t just manage symptoms; we target their root causes. Our suite of services includes:
- Esketamine (Spravato) Therapy: A rapid-acting nasal spray for those who haven’t found relief with standard antidepressants. By targeting the glutamate system, we help “fertilize” the brain’s neural connections. Read the full guide on Esketamine.
- Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS): A drug-free, non-invasive way to reset the brain’s electrical balance. This is particularly effective for both Depression and OCD. Read the full guide on TMS for OCD.
- Supportive Psychotherapy & Management: While we utilize high-tech interventions, we never lose sight of the “high-touch” elements of care. We provide the clinical “anchor” you need, ensuring your progress is monitored and supported at every turn.
Why Atmosphere and Location Matter
Located on the 19th floor of the landmark building at 157 Church St, our office offers a serene environment with sweeping views of the New Haven skyline. We chose this space deliberately to provide an “oasis” for healing.
Because interventional treatments require frequent visits (daily for TMS, twice-weekly for Esketamine induction), we have designed our practice to be as low-stress as possible. We know that your time is valuable. Our staff handles the “heavy lifting” of insurance authorizations, including the complex “J-codes” and “G-codes” required for these advanced procedures.
Our Commitment to New Haven
As a locally founded practice, we are deeply committed to the health of the New Haven community. Whether you are a student, a professional, or a retiree, you deserve access to the best that modern psychiatry has to offer. We believe that by combining the expertise of Omolola Aragbada and Sharon Nkashama with a friendly, welcoming environment, we can help our neighbors find the clarity and peace they deserve.
From the moment you walk through our doors, you are not just another appointment on a calendar. You are a valued member of a practice that is dedicated to your long-term wellness. We are currently accepting new patients and look forward to helping you start your journey to recovery.
